Our technicians have made a decision to specialize on our Design Floor or in our Color Studio.  This ensures that you as a guest are getting a specialist in their field. Every detail is here for your satisfaction and enjoyment to escape from the pace of everyday life. Design Studio

Tina Brugh

Tina approaches every guest with one question in her mind: how can I make their day? Her long-time experience (she celebrated 32 years in 2025!), hilarious sense of humor and insightful spirit results in a happy client with a killer hair style. Tina’s passion for geometric shapes elevates her ability to design and correct face shapes for both our male and female guests. Tina is also fantastic with men’s cuts and is able to create anything ranging from a polished and sophisticated shape to a fun, trendy cut. In addition to cutting, she is phenomenal in creating beautiful special occasion styles (Up-Dos) and styling to a perfect finish. She also has a strong love for bridal hair and will jump at any chance to dress hair for weddings or editorial work! Tina thrives on gleaning as much information as possible so she can apply it to life inside and outside of work.

Outside of work, Tina spends much of her free time making memories with her husband and kids. She prides her self on being a hilarious and creative mom that enjoys dancing and making up songs around the house- which for some reason, seems to embarrass her kids!

Jacquelyn Stack

As a stylist, Jacquelyn has a keen eye for design and pays fine attention to creative detail. Her ability to design a haircut to create a harmonized look for the guests face and body shape are unparalleled. Her artistic work is fueled by the thought that people do not always see themselves for who they can be and tend to hide behind who they limit themselves to be. Through her brilliant hair designing abilities and vivid personality, she desires to open her guests eyes to the beauty they possess as well as enhance it. Her expertise in the salon is solidified by gaining the prestigious status as an Aveda Purefessional which allows her to teach other professionals in the Aveda Network new collections and advanced cutting skills.

Jacquelyn is a creative, outspoken and loving person as she captures everyone’s attention with her animated stories and individuality. When she is not perfecting her craft or making her guests and team laugh, she is found outdoors in all things nature. She enjoys everything from going on walks with her family to fishing and four-wheeling.

If you are looking for an amazing hair cut and a good laugh, Jacquelyn will certainly not disappoint!

Shawn Sweeney
Shawn is the kind of person who fills a room with laughter before he even sits down. Friends, family, and coworkers describe him as funny, kind, positive, sincere, and incredibly intentional. He is passionate about his family, his loved ones, and the planet—and he’s always the first to offer a hug when he knows someone needs it. Genuine to his core, Shawn is simply one of the best.
What many people don’t know about him?
He loves karaoke.
On any given weekend, you’re likely to find him rallying a group to go sing with him—and yes, he’ll always grab the mic.
 
A Career with Heart
Shawn has been in the beauty industry for 30 years. He began his career in Guest Services and transitioned into hair after graduating beauty school. Though he left Z Salon & Spa for a period of time, we’re grateful he found his way back home.
Guests adore being in Shawn’s chair—not just for his talent, but for the conversation, the laughter, and the uplifting energy he brings. His chair is affectionately known as “the party chair.”
His biggest accomplishment in life is his children, and professionally, he feels his skills have been elevated by the hands-on mentorship he has received from Jacquelyn and Lori over the years.
Shawn is especially confident in addressing guest challenges involving lack of volume, using his experience and creativity to bring life and movement back to the hair.
 
The Heart of His Work
One of Shawn’s favorite parts of the service is the shampoo. He sees it as a moment where guests can finally release the stress of life—something he knows can be difficult to let go of. Helping people relax, laugh, and feel cared for is what fuels his passion for the industry.
He entered the beauty world because he loved art—and, as he puts it, talking (a lot).
What has kept him here for three decades are the personal connections, the shared stories, and the relationships he has built.
His peers love that he keeps things fun, light, and joyful, while also caring deeply about the people around him.

Anastasia Farrier

Anastasia is the perfect cosmetologist for someone who wants to revel in an unforgettable experience created through attention to detail and mindfulness. Her returning guests are her greatest compliment demonstrating she regularly exceeds their expectation creating long-term solutions customized specifically for them.

Anastasia is passionate about taking care of our beautiful planet. She loves being outside, soaking in nature with those who make her feel whole.

ALEXIS HAGANS

Alexis is a perfect stylist for someone who needs patience and someone to guide them in the right direction for their hair. She is extremely respectful of her guests needs and wants to make sure she has completed the task to their liking. Alexis has received a considerable amount of advanced education making her confident in her craft. At the salon, Alexis experiments with different techniques and styles in her desire to become a master of her craft. Alexis finds most guests want to know if the look they have chosen will compliment their face shape which assists her in knowing what their needs are.

Before moving to Louisville, Alexis grew up in Hazard, Kentucky. She loves all types of music and in her spare time she enjoys writing poetry, reading books watching reality tv and spending time with her mother.

Vanessa Ralston
Vanessa joined the Z Salon & Spa Design Studio in 2024 and has quickly become known for her gentle presence, thoughtful approach, and dedication to her craft. Her family affectionately calls her “the old lady of the house,” a nod to her quiet, grounded, and family-oriented nature. Behind the chair, however, Vanessa’s passion and creativity shine brightly.
She is deeply committed to learning new skills—especially those she can apply immediately to elevate her guests’ experience. She does amazing extensions for this very reason. Vanessa loves styling hair so much that she’d do it even if she never got paid for it. Her attention to detail and desire to make every guest feel cared for guide her through every consultation, cut, and style.
One of Vanessa’s favorite parts of the service is the scalp massage. She believes it’s the moment that allows guests to fully relax, reconnect, and enjoy being pampered.
She especially loves working with guests who think they are “too old to look good anymore.” Helping them choose a flattering style, enhancing their natural beauty, and watching their confidence bloom as they see themselves in a new light is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
Vanessa gravitates toward guests who feel like friends or family—those who enjoy fun, warmth, and authentic connection.

CHE CUANAN

Che brings nearly two decades of experience as a Stylist to every guest. Never stuffy, he confidently matches his guest’s needs and desires with expert solutions in a calm, down-to-earth comfortable manner. An eye for detail, he is the perfect Stylist for you if you’re struggling to know how to style your hair at home.

Che’s family and friends would tell you he is calm and easy going with a fun, even goofy, side. Surprisingly, he landed a role in a movie and has seven cats.

LORI terbeek
Motivator. Inspiration. Educator. Woman of Action.
These are just a few of the words that perfectly describe Lori TerBeek.
While others talk about “burnout,” Lori doesn’t even consider the concept part of her vocabulary. She is driven by an unwavering desire to grow, to elevate those around her, and to ignite possibility everywhere she goes. Her passion for continual learning keeps her inspired—and fuels her commitment to guiding others along their own professional paths.
Lori’s gift lies in thinking beyond the expected. She is known for asking, “What if…?” and looking at what could be rather than what is. This visionary mindset helps her mentor stylists and leaders in ways that push them beyond what they thought possible. People are naturally drawn to her ability to uncover potential, challenge comfort zones, and inspire them to become not just better at their craft—but better contributors to the world around them.
As both a stylist and mentor, Lori has a remarkable talent for seeing beauty in every person she meets. That ability forms authentic connections and meaningful relationships. While pouring into others might feel exhausting to most, Lori gains momentum from the positive energy, curiosity, and passion she sparks in her team.
Currently serving as the Artistic Director and Co-Owner of Z Salon & Spa, Lori’s professional expertise is grounded in decades of advanced training and hands-on experience. She has trained at:

Ava Hebner
 Ava is known for her kindness, creativity, and vibrant energy—qualities that make every guest feel welcomed, inspired, and beautiful. She strives every day to be the best version of herself, both personally and professionally, and she brings that same uplifting drive to everyone around her.
 
Ava discovered her passion for cosmetology at a young age.  It started when she began doing her sister’s hair.  What was a sister bonding moment quickly grew into a deep love for the industry, one that continues to shape her career today.
 
Ava’s favorite service is haircutting, which she sees as a creative art form with endless possibilities. She loves the freedom, the transformation, and the chance to bring a guest’s vision to life. Her coworkers admire her ability to take an idea and turn it into something beautiful, unique, and tailored.
 
She’s also passionate about helping guests choose the right products to achieve their hair goals—sharing her knowledge in a way that feels helpful, approachable, and fun.
 
Ava loves surprising people with unexpected sides of her personality, especially the fact that she loves working out, and does it often. One of her proudest accomplishments is finishing cosmetology school while also hitting a new personal record in weightlifting, a testament to her determination and strength.
 
Ava thrives when working with people who have a playful, lighthearted nature. She brings joy to the experience and gravitates toward guests who enjoy creativity, laughter, and authentic connection.

Tiffany Betts
Tiffany recently joined the Z Salon & Spa team and is currently part of our Guest Care department while completing her Design Studio training. Although she’s new to Z, she’s no stranger to the salon world. Tiffany began doing hair right out of high school and has worked in nearly every role within the industry. After taking time away to raise her family, we are incredibly grateful that she chose to re-enter the beauty world with us.
 
Tiffany is genuine, joyful, and full of enthusiasm. Even when she’s not working, she finds herself diagnosing haircut and style issues for friends and family—her creativity and curiosity never turn off. As a stylist, her mission is simple yet powerful: she wants every guest to feel seen, heard, and beautifully understood. Her goal is for each person to leave loving their experience and feeling that their style has been tailored exactly to their needs.
 
Heart, Skill & Passion
One of Tiffany’s biggest accomplishments is raising two boys into kind, respectful gentlemen—a role she describes as both challenging and deeply rewarding. She approaches motherhood, and her career, with strength, humor, and a “rockstar” spirit.
 
A lifelong learner, Tiffany loves the investigative side of hairstyling. Helping guests solve challenges—whether it’s weight distribution, movement, or styling issues—drives her creativity. And her favorite service? A big, voluminous blowout. It’s the kind of service that, in her words, “makes my soul happy.”

Tiffany became a stylist because she wanted to explore creativity, beauty, and the power of transformation. She loves helping people see themselves as beautiful—sometimes in a way they’ve never seen before. The ever-evolving nature of the industry and the chance to highlight beauty within others and the world around her keeps her inspired every day.

MICHELLE RAKE

Michelle engages her guests with her artistic and cheerful exuberance to deliver endless possibilities through the use of color. She thoroughly considers the diverse and picturesque palette of color options that she can uniquely customize for each individual that sits in her chair. Her trustworthy and dependable nature exudes her genuine desire to make others feel special and truly cared for. Her long-time experience as an educator paired with her innate ability to connect with others allows her to successfully help her guests find the root of their problems and not just put a “band-aid” over the symptoms. If you are in need of a problem solver or someone you can trust with all of your creative color needs, Michelle is the go to artist Extraordinaire!

When she is not in the salon you can find her in her garden, reading in a quiet nook or planning outdoor adventures with her family experiencing all nature has to offer.

LINDSAY GRAETER

Lindsay’s experience with a variety of color techniques, backed with strong knowledge of color design and creativity, allow her to create a look just for you! Whether you are looking to make a seasonal change, update you tresses with the endless possibilities of ombre or in need of optimal gray coverage- Lindsay has you covered! Her experience paired with a passionate ambition to keep current with the ever changing trends, allows her to bring a fresh set of ideas and skills. Lindsay truly has a passion for color. In fact, if we did not have an all black dresscode she would be the brightest staff member in the building!

Although Lindsay loves what she does, she thoroughly enjoys her time off making memories with her friends. A queen of selfies, you can also find Lindsay reading, enjoying Netflix, going on shopping excursions and even outdoor adventures from time to time.

KASEY CROW
Kasey is thoughtful, loyal, funny, understanding, and endlessly creative—qualities that make her an exceptional stylist and an even better human. Professionally, she is passionate about helping people feel good about themselves. Personally, her heart belongs to her family. She loves anything crafty, adores babies, and has a dream retirement plan of rocking babies all day.
Kasey has plenty of unexpected sides that guests love learning about. She raises chickens, listens to heavy metal music, and enjoys hunting and fishing. She’s a blend of soft and strong, creative and grounded—a personality guests naturally gravitate toward.
Her shampoo experience is a guest favorite, and her teammates rave about her efficiency, her great ideas, and her natural ability to bring people together.
Kasey grew up on a dairy farm in Michigan, and she credits those years as the most impactful education of her life. Farm living taught her:

She also participated in 4-H, showing cows and chickens and entering everything from baking to gift wrapping. Those early experiences helped shape the caring, hardworking, and community-oriented person she is today.
Kasey’s biggest professional accomplishment is moving to Kentucky from Michigan and going through hair school—a leap of faith that changed her life. Personally, she counts being a wife and an aunt as her greatest joys. In her own words: “Aunt life is the best life.”

OLIVIA SNODGRASS MADISON
Thoughtful, organized, and trustworthy, Olivia has been a pillar of Z Salon & Spa for the past 15 years. Fresh out of cosmetology school, she joined our team and quickly discovered her passion for all things color. Today, she is known for her signature “lived-in color,” seamless balayage, corrective lowlights, and bringing guests beautifully—and confidently—back to their natural tone. And yes… she even loves taking people to the dark side.
Professionally, Olivia is driven by results, efficiency, and realistic application. Her guests appreciate that she is always on time, refreshingly direct, and disarmingly funny. Her deadpan humor keeps not only her guests laughing but also her team—she is truly one of the funniest people in the building.

She despises cheeseburgers and most cheese… EXCEPT the melted processed nacho kind.
She still dreams about traveling as a job.
And she has absolutely zero desire to cut hair—strictly color only!

Life of the party is a great way to describe Abby. She has such a great personality. If you have ever spoken to Abby, you will definitely remember it. She works very hard to make sure the guests feel taken care of. She is extremely good working out appointments and making things happen at the desk.

Abby finished cosmetology school right before the pandemic hit so she is eagerly awaiting the time she gets her license and can start training. Abby loves animals and is great addition to our guest care team.

Carmen Cox
Carmen is a talented and passionate member of our color team, bringing over a decade of customer service experience and a deep love for connecting with people. Known by her friends as hardworking, caring, thoughtful—and maybe even a bit of an animal whisperer—Carmen has a heart for both her craft and her community.
She views the world through the lens of an artist, finding inspiration in all forms of creativity. Whether it’s painting, building, cooking, or hair, Carmen believes anything can become a form of
art. She has a special passion for fashion colors, drawn to their vibrancy and ever-changing nature. Carmen loves working with guests who enjoy transformation and takes great care in
walking them through new processes to ensure they feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.
Outside the salon, Carmen finds joy and renewal in the outdoors. She enjoys 4-wheeling, fishing, and horseback riding, and draws creative energy from the beauty of nature.

Kaleigh Ray
Ray is outgoing, determined, and always ready for her next adventure. Known for her bold spirit and love of an adrenaline rush, she’s the first to say yes to anything involving heights—and the first to bring that same fearless enthusiasm into her work behind the chair.
 
Ray has wanted to do hair for as long as she can remember. As a little girl, she spent hours playing with hair, practicing braids, and discovering the joy of transformation. Today, she loves doing hair because she believes there is beauty within everyone—and helping guests see that beauty is what inspires her most.
 
A Passion for Learning
Driven by curiosity and a love of exploration, Ray is passionate about both traveling and learning new skills. She joined the Z Color Department straight out of school, diving headfirst into her craft with the same determination that defines her personality.
 
Her biggest accomplishment so far? Leaving college behind to pursue what she truly loves: a career in hair. It was a bold decision—and one that has allowed her talent and passion to shine.

Guests describe Ray as upbeat, positive, and full of a “can-do” attitude. She thrives when working with people who are outgoing and talkative, and she creates an environment that feels fun, relaxed, and genuinely uplifting.

ARTISTIC Esthetician
Alla Boyar

Alla has been working as an esthetician for over 20 years.  In addition she holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a music diploma in piano, which shows in her attention to detail with her guests.  She particularly enjoys helping guests with more challenging skin issues such as acne, clogged pores, dry skin and oiliness.

Alla has a big heart and enjoys spending her free time relaxing with her friends.  Something most people would not know about her is that she loves to throw surprise parties for people.

ARTISTIC esthetician
Stephani Jones
Stephani has been a beloved member of the Z Salon & Spa team for 15 years. Friends and family describe her as caring, passionate, hardworking, loyal, creative, and proactive—qualities that define not only who she is as a person, but also who she is as a professional.
Stephani is deeply committed to bringing peace, comfort, and joy into her guests’ lives. Whether she’s addressing skin concerns, offering tips and tricks, or simply creating a quiet space for someone to breathe, she strives to ensure every guest leaves feeling lighter and more relaxed than when they arrived. Even if she weren’t paid for it, she would still choose to help people relax and find moments of peace.
Stephani is passionate about results-driven skincare and specializes in:

Savannah Evans
Savannah joined the Z Salon & Spa team in 2023 and quickly became known for her creativity, warm personality, and deep passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin. She is driven by the joy of making others feel good—inside and out—and would practice skincare and makeup even if she never earned a penny for it. For Savannah, it’s not just a career…it’s who she is.
She loves working one-on-one with guests, listening to their concerns, and helping them navigate their skin challenges with care, empathy, and expertise. Whether she’s delivering a relaxing treatment or offering guidance on a personalized routine, Savannah’s goal is always the same: to help guests feel relaxed, refreshed, and beautifully confident.
Savannah’s creativity extends far beyond the treatment room. In her free time, she enjoys:

ARTISTIC MASSAGE THERAPIST
LESLIE BROWN

Leslie is an intuitive massage therapist that realized massage was her calling after the therapeutic techniques helped her to overcome an injury. Today, she utilizes her skills to not only provide a spa like experience but also aid in pain management. Her other specialties include deep tissue, stone massage, reflexology, body treatments, Himalayan Rejuvenation, and pregnancy massage. She is also trained to work with special-needs guests and has a calm, easy-going nature. A self-proclaimed “aroma-junkie”, she enjoys creating beautiful fragrances and multi-purposed custom essential oil blends to take a massage from special to extraordinary. If you are in need of a revitalizing or pain relieving massage, Leslie will be able to not only provide the best customized techniques but also a great aroma to create an uplifting experience.

It is surprising to note that even though Leslie is a massage therapist, she is also well versed in hair and skin care products to address all of your needs. Just like in her career, she puts 110% in her family and continually strives to help others in any way that she can.

ARTISTIC MASSAGE THERAPIST
JULIE LEPPERT

Julie is our multi-talented powerhouse that began her career with us as a Massage therapist and is now the massage trainer. Julie’s compassionate, funny and intuitive nature paired with her knowledge and expertise has made her an essential asset to our team (since 2001!). As a massage therapist, she is certified in Integrative Deep Tissue/Neuromuscular Therapy (trigger point) and also specializes in aromaology, Ashiatsu, stone massage and AVEDA Chakra and Stress Fix massage. In addition to her background in massage, Julie is gifted with extensive knowledge in safe and effective uses of essential oils and Aromatherapy as well as stretches and beneficial information on minor aches and pains. Our in house guru, Julie loves to provide wellness information to guests and teammates on a daily basis as well as through workshops to support the wellness movement into mainstream.

She believes that her experience at the Atlanta School of Massage has been an immense blessing as it continues to influences her career. As an Aveda Purefessional, Julie not only trains all of our spa staff she also trains professionals in and out of the state of Kentucky and enjoys teaching CEU classes to the massage students in the Kentuckiana area. She shares the information and techniques she has learned from the school as well as those she has adapted overtime so her trainees are well rounded and even more successful. In addition to training the spa team, Julie is also passionate about her works outside of the salon to shift the mind set of spa treatments and massage from just a luxury to a necessity for lifestyle wellness that includes prevention techniques.

When Julie is not flexing her brain muscles at work, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening and satisfying her artsy side through painting and creating fabulous birthday parties for her two girls!

AUTUMM SCHNEIDER

Autumm strongly believes that everyone can benefit from the power of touch and the necessity of regular massage for overall wellness. Her work focuses on deep and specific movements to uncover the trigger points or “knots” of tension that form in various places. Do not be deceived by Autumm’s small stature! She is amazing with deep tissue massage for both men and women. Autumm also specializes in pregnancy massage, stone massage, AVEDA Stress-Fix, deep-tissue and relaxation massage. She is a strong, open and spiritual individual that uses her gifts and talents to be of service to others.

When she is not utilizing her expertise in different message modalities, she enjoys doing yoga and experiencing nature with her husband and twin bouncy bundles of joy!

We’re so excited to welcome Lena back to our team! She originally joined us in 2019 but soon relocated to California, where she continued building her expertise in skincare. Now, with over six years of experience, Lena brings a gentle, grounded energy to our spa that guests instantly connect with.
Described by friends as down-to-earth, kind, and free-spirited, Lena’s passion for caring for the mind, body, and spirit shines through in everything she does. Her soft-spoken nature and
soothing touch help guests feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.
Lena is deeply committed to staying current in the skincare industry, always eager to learn and share her knowledge. She especially loves educating guests on holistic, skin-loving alternatives to cosmetic procedures—focusing on natural, nourishing practices that support long-term wellness and beauty.
Outside of work, Lena enjoys thrifting, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her adorable puppy, Tink. She’s happiest around kind, authentic people and brings that same energy into every guest experience.

For the past three years, Russell has brought his unmistakable blend of boisterous energy, genuine warmth, and therapeutic precision to the Z Salon & Spa Massage Team. Guests know him for thespecificity of his work—attentive, intentional, and deeply personalized—but they stay for the contagious positivity he brings into every room. His laugh can be heard across the building, and his “so-bad-they’re-good” dad jokes have become something of a signature.
Professionally, Russell is passionate about helping others create a better quality of life. His approach is both intuitive and highly focused, helping guests feel understood, supported, and cared for. Personally, he finds joy in spreading joy—whether through humor, connection, or simply being fully himself.
Russell pursued massage therapy because he wanted a career where he could truly make a difference every single day. He loves that the industry is rewarding, people-centered, and ever-changing. No two days are the same, and he thrives on the opportunity to meet interesting guests and help them feel their best.

Kaylee Estrada
Kaylee is known for her bubbly personality, helpful nature, and genuine passion for all things skincare. Whether she’s sharing product knowledge, recommending routines, or chatting about her beloved cats, Kaylee brings a warm, upbeat energy that instantly puts guests at ease.
If you ask her what service she loves most, she’ll tell you without hesitation: waxing—she enjoys it so much she jokes she’d do it even if she didn’t get paid for it. Guests appreciate her gentle touch, attention to detail, and her ability to make every service feel comfortable and personalized.
Kaylee has always had a natural passion for learning. She picks up new skills quickly and loves growing her expertise within the ever-evolving world of skincare. She especially enjoys connecting with talkative guests who appreciate a friendly, conversational experience while being pampered.
Outside of the salon, Kaylee devotes much of her time to helping care for her grandparents, something she does with the same compassion and attentiveness she brings to her work. When she has downtime, you’ll often find her playing video games, hiking, or spending time with her cats.

Katie Hawkins

Katie started with us in guest care when she was in high school. She then went on to finish culinary school at Sullivan. After graduation she decided she enjoyed the interaction she had with our guests and decided to move into a leadership position within the salon.

Katie enjoys building true relationships with both the guests and the staff. It is truly her gift. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband. Of course, she also enjoys cooking and entertaining friends. If you are ever in the salon, ask Katie about her “special” talent. It will require you to walk outside with her.

Mark Hall
Mark is a leader, teacher, mentor, friend, and devoted father. Above all, he is passionate about people—something you can feel the moment you meet him. His goal is always to anticipate guests’ needs and create a warm, positive experience from start to finish. Whether he’s helping with an appointment, solving a challenge, or simply offering a friendly conversation, Mark shows genuine care in every interaction.
Guests love Mark for his ability to truly listen. He approaches each person with sincerity, positivity, and patience, creating an environment where guests feel seen, respected, and valued. With 39 years of customer service experience—16 of those right here at Z Salon & Spa—Mark embodies hospitality at its highest level.

In his role, he is challenged daily with a wide variety of requests, from refreshing restrooms to coordinating scheduling needs. Mark is a bourbon enthusiast. He loves the taste, the history, and perhaps most of all, the way bourbon can bring people from all walks of life together—something that reflects his own approach to connection and community.

Carolyn Kepple

Carolyn has been with the salon since 1991 in the guest care department. Since she started she has served in many different roles. Her most current is the wedding and special events coordinator along with her daily tasks of assisting guest with appointments, checking out and any other needs they may have. Carolyn loves connecting with the guests as well. She has a way of getting to know them personally and always remembers them on their visits and what they were doing the last time she saw them in the salon.

In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, travel and a great bottle of wine. Carolyn has a very close circle of friends that she takes at least 2-3 girl trips with a year to re-energize herself. You can bet that some of those are to wineries or spas. She is also very close to her family and enjoys being able to spend time with them off on days off.

Stephanie Crum

Stephanie will soon be celebrating her 20-year anniversary with Z Salon & Spa. What started out as part-time position in an industry she found interesting, evolved into a full-time position assisting in many facets of the salon. The thing Stephanie has enjoyed the most about working here is that the salon has proven time and time again that people are what matter. It is not something we just talk about being, it is something that is in everything that we do.

Stephanie loves the challenge of getting really challenging appointments worked out and assisting guests get in for their services. It’s not always easy but rewarding when you do.

In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family and is very passionate about her faith. She is an amazing baker that enjoys cooking by feel. Stephanie and her husband are also very good at remodeling and have done most of the work to their new home.

CHRISTA BALLARD

In the guest care arena, Christa is the absolute best at giving you the history and the “why” of Z Salon. She is truly passionate about the industry and being a part of the guest’s experience. She wants to make sure each guest knows everything they should expect in their service. She is extremely thorough. She enjoys being a Day Maker.

Christa truly enjoys giving back to the community and helping people. At the salons 30th anniversary, 30 staff were given $1000 checks to Pay It Forward in the Community. She enlisted the help of other teammates and guests to raise money for a school library. They were able to purchase new desks, computers, and books. She was even able to enlist the assistance of a painter to repaint and decorate the space. Christa enjoys wineries, girl trips and reality tv in her spare time.

JOY HAMILTON

Joy has returned to Z Salon in our guest care department. As many may know, she was part of the Original 17 staff that started the salon. Life moved her to Shelbyville with her family while she continued doing hair closer to home. Recent events have brought her back to the salon as guest care.
Joy has never met a stranger and loves talking to the guests both in person and over the phone. Her favorite past time would be talking. Although she will miss doing hair, she is still involved enough to keep her occupied.
When not working, you can find Joy at the lake. She and her family have a lake house where they enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Madison Harper
Madison joined the Z Salon & Spa Guest Services team in 2024 and quickly became known for her positive energy, bubbly personality, and genuine love for helping others. Funny, reliable, and easy to talk to, she naturally puts guests at ease and makes meaningful connections from the moment they walk through the door.
Madison has a passion for makeup and loves helping guests discover the style that feels just right for them—whether it’s an everyday look or something special for an event. Her coworkers appreciate her strong attention to detail, and guests frequently share how comfortable, welcome, and understood she makes them feel.

Madison thrives in customer service because she genuinely enjoys building relationships and learning what brings people joy. She is especially drawn to positive, uplifting individuals and loves creating memorable interactions that brighten someone’s day.

 Olivia’s friends and family describe her as friendly, caring, compassionate, and wonderfully organized. She naturally puts others first, always looking for ways to help, support, and brighten someone’s day. That same spirit translates seamlessly into her role at Z Salon & Spa, where she works closely with her team and is dedicated to ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well taken care of.
Before joining the salon industry, Olivia worked as a CNA in assisted living communities—a role that strengthened her ability to create comfort, build trust, and care deeply for those she serves. Even though this is her first salon experience, her background gives her a unique ability to make guests feel truly seen and supported.
 
People often say they appreciate how caring, personable, and attentive Olivia is. Her peers echo the same sentiment—they value her understanding nature, her kindness, and how easy she is to connect with.
 
Olivia’s favorite service is the lash lift and tint—a service she personally loves because her own lashes are naturally light and super straight. She enjoys helping guests experience the confidence boost that comes from seeing their features enhanced in a natural, effortless way.
