As an Aveda Salon, we are so very lucky to have access to such fantastic products that produce results. The newest in the Aveda’s arsenal is the Tulasara™ radiant awakening ritual.
What is Involved?
The routine for the Ttularara™ line is a two step process. These two steps work together to leave your skin soft, smooth, and radiant!
The first step involves a technique called dry brushing. Dry Brushing is exactly what it sounds like, a dry brush is used on dry skin, typically before showering.
The second step is a self-massage with Tulasara™ Radiant Oleation Oil, this step will help promote microcirculation and helps the skin to look more radiant.
Before you begin, make sure that your face is clean and dry. Use the brush on your neck and face, using gentle strokes, sweeping towards your heart. After, the brushing is finished, dispense 4 pumps of the tulasara™ radiant oleation oil, apply this evenly to your face and neck, leave on for four minutes and wash with your favorite cleanser.
Why is Dry Brushing Important?
Dry Brushing has a wide range of health benefits including:
* Exfoliation – This is the primary benefit of the Tulasara™ routine
* Cleaning Pores- As an extension of exfoliation, dry brushing also helps to clear clogged pores. Using the appropriate brush, like the one that comes in the tulasara™ package, is important as the skin on the face is very delicate.
* Increased Energy and Blood Flow – Dry brushing has been shown to increase blood flow and circulation, and as a result will give a boost of energy.
* Lymphatic Support – The lymph system sits just under the skin, and studies have shown that regular dry brushing help stimulate normal lymph flow. When the lymph system is functioning normally it helps natural detoxification happen within the body.
